TradeOne ("we", "us", "our") provides a point-of-sale and business-management platform for merchants in Kenya, available on the web and as a mobile app. This policy explains what information the TradeOne mobile app and service collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using TradeOne you agree to this policy.

Who this applies to

TradeOne is used by businesses (our customers) and their staff. Accounts are created by a business administrator — the app does not offer public self-registration. Each business's data is isolated to that business.

Information we collect

• Account & staff details: name, email or username, phone number, role and permissions, used to sign you in and control access.
• Business data you enter: products, inventory, suppliers, customers, sales, services, job cards, purchases and reports.
• Customer & delivery information: customer names, phone numbers, account balances and — only when you add them — delivery addresses and map locations (latitude/longitude) used to plan and navigate deliveries.
• Device & technical data: app version and basic diagnostic information needed to operate the service and keep it secure.
• Bluetooth: the app connects to a paired thermal printer to print receipts. We do not scan for, collect, or store location from Bluetooth.

How we use information

• To provide the point-of-sale, inventory, delivery, reporting and printing features.
• To authenticate users and enforce role-based access within a business.
• To display delivery locations on a map and hand off to your device's maps app for navigation.
• To maintain, secure, troubleshoot and improve the service.

Location data

Location is used only for delivery features. Customer delivery pins are entered by staff (or captured by a customer via a link they choose to open). The app uses Google Maps to display routes and pins. We do not track your device location in the background.

How information is shared

We do not sell your data. We share information only:

• With infrastructure providers that host the service on our behalf.
• With Google Maps to render maps and directions for delivery features.
• When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users and the service.

Data retention

We keep business data for as long as the account is active or as needed to provide the service. A business may request export or deletion of its data by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required for legal or accounting purposes.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access is restricted by authentication and per-business isolation. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. Because data belongs to the business using TradeOne, please direct requests to your business administrator or to us at the contact below, and we will assist.

Children

TradeOne is a business tool intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
